I am residing in a industrial German city called Siegen. It so far has not impressed me with its weather: rain rain rain. Snow! rain rain rain. Most important to note is that my capabilities to pack a suitcase for long term travel are still... cultivating. I have brought along one pair of shoes and well, you can figure it out for yourself.
I live in a flat located along the Sieg River and have views of churches, castles and H&M.
It is a good hub to rest and to easily become excited to travel elsewhere.
Not to say Siegen does not have its own charm I'm just going to realize many years from now when I look back at my time here and revisit the city. After all the construction is over... ?
The older parts of the city and the church/castle grounds make for good strolls in the afternoon. The birds in the city provide much of the entertainment and beauty as they fly aimlessly in family clusters over the city and perch atop the church. Fighting for a spot to sit on its tiny wind compass. But maybe it is just tiny looking. It is really just a perspective thing I suppose. I suppose it all is...
